I have been an educator at Ninety Six High School for 27 years. I began my career at Ninety Six High School as a Science teacher, teaching Biology and Chemistry. I also served as Science Department Chair and the High Schools that Work Curriculum and Instruction and Professional Development Focus Group chairperson. In 2019, I became an assistant principal and Director of FLEX, the alternative education program for Greenwood District 52. In 2020, I became a full-time assistant principal working with discipline, scheduling, curriculum and instruction, and teacher evaluation. Also, I served as the sponsor for Student Government, National Honor Society and Beta Club.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Furman University, a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Teaching from Lander University, an MLIS in Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina and an Educational Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from Clemson University.
Some of my favorite pastimes include reading, listening to music, spending time with my family and friends, cooking, traveling and exercising/working out. All of these activities help me stay focused, grounded and relaxed. My niece Camryn is a 2017 graduate of Ninety Six High School and is always a listening ear for me. The one thing that I want every student, parent, and faculty/staff member to know is that I am a relationship person and I enjoy talking, listening, and getting to know people. I truly believe that people don’t know how much you care until you show them how much you care. I am deeply committed to building strong relationships within our school community, as I believe this is the foundation of our success.
I am excited to be the Principal of Ninety Six High School and look forward to continuing to work with the Ninety Six Community.
