The Lady Wildcats Volleyball Team was named 2A Upper State Champions on Tuesday! They will play for the 2A State Championship this Saturday, November 16 at 12:00 P.M. at Dreher High School. Congratulations to our players and coaches!

On Wednesday, November 6, NSHS students visited PTC for the Reality of Money experience. They were each given a "career" and the monthly wage for that career, as well as their credit score, # of children, and marital status. With this information, they visited different stations and decided how much to spend on housing, groceries, health insurance, communication, child care, transportation, entertainment, clothing, and surprise costs or windfalls. They had to learn how to budget the money or get an extra job.

Several NSHS students had the opportunity to attend the 2024 SCLBC Annual Youth Legislative Conference last week at the State House in Columbia.

Students enrolled in English II, U.S. History, Biology I, and Algebra I will take their End of Course exam in December.

NSHS will honor veterans on Monday, November 11 with a program in the gym. Local veterans are invited and encouraged to attend. The program will begin at 10:15. All visitors must check-in in the front office.

The Ninety Six High School Wildcat Marching Band was crowned Class 1A Upper State and State Champion on Saturday, October 19. This is the third consecutive state title for the band! Congratulations to Mr. Vickery and the entire band staff, students, and supporters!

The NSHS Academic Challenge team will host a Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night on Tuesday, November 5 from 5-8 PM. You may place an order at either Greenwood location. Make sure to tell them you are there for Academic Challenge!

Next week is Halloween Spirit Week. All students are encouraged to participate each day. Masks, hats, slippers, and inappropriate-for-school costumes are NOT allowed.

Students needing to make up seat time may do so on designated days after school from 3:30-4:30 in the Media Center. You must be on time and bring classwork to do. No electronics allowed.
