I have been an educator at Ninety Six High since 1991. I taught math for the first 25 years and am now one of the school counselors. Ninety Six has been good to me and I enjoy working with our students and parents whether in the counseling office or providing help with math.
I received my B.A. in Mathematics with a minor in Secondary Education from Erskine College in 1990. I received my master's degree in Secondary Counseling from Clemson University in 1994. I was originally National Board Certified in Adolescent and Young Adult Mathematics in 2000 and renewed that certification in 2010 and 2020. I was named as a state finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics and Science in 2003 and was the district teacher of the year in 2006.
Since 2001, I have served as the Academic Challenge Coach. I love working with these students and was proud when they became state champions in 2020, 2022, and 2023.
I am the counselor for students whose last names begin with A - K.
